PILOTS KNOWN TO HAVE FLOWN THE MANSTON SPITFIRE - TB752

Over the past years efforts have been made to trace as many pilots as possible who flew TB752 both in war and peacetime. In some cases the effort has carried success with it, but equally, considerable research has not been so crowned. At least 2 of the pilots contacted to their disgust turned out to have flown virtually every other Spitfire in their Squadron — but not the one that mattered. However, all 15 of TB752's wartime pilots (or sadly their relatives in 3 cases) have been traced as far apart as Australia, South Africa, Canada and America.

Without the assistance which has been received from the Ministry of Defence (Aircrew Records), Public Records Office (London) and Public Archives Canada the task would have been virtually impossible.
